Where the Green World Gathers begins with the family heirloom tiger painting that has been part of my family since at least 1969. The tiger is transformed into a lush tropical painting surrounded by dense layers of stylized foliage. Deep greens, blue-greens, olive, and emerald create a richly patterned environment punctuated by red leaves, white blossoms, and warm botanical accents. The original seated pose and expression remain intact while the tigers orange body becomes a luminous focal point within the surrounding vegetation. Flattened space, simplified forms, and carefully repeated leaf shapes give the image the character of a richly decorative naive or folk-inspired painting.
