Rocky Mountain Gothic Vintage Roadside Highway Poster

Robert Meyers-Lussier · Digital Art - Digital Poster Art From Original Photography

Rocky Mountain Gothic: Vintage Roadside Highway Poster sets the visual identity of the Plated Jams single inside the language of old road signage and highway promotion. The design draws on painted highway boards, letterpress wood type and the roadside advertising that once lined two-lane routes through the mountains. Heavy condensed lettering delivers Take the Long Way in weathered green and rust, layered ridgelines and pine stands recede into pale blue on aged cream, and a dashed centerline curves up through the lower half of the poster with directional markers pointing toward Glen Haven and Estes Park. A Cinnamon Roll Approved seal sits at the lower left, an honest nod to the reason people take that particular road.
