Rocky Mountain Gothic: Aspen Ski Poster Activist Print takes the visual identity of the Plated Jams single into the raw, hand-pulled graphic language that Colorado mountain towns developed for their ski posters and their protest broadsides. The design draws on screen-printed poster work of the 1960s and 1970s Colorado high country, where brush-drawn lettering, hard black woodcut ridgelines and a single burning red sun carried more weight than any photograph could. Take the Long Way is painted across the top in loose black and red strokes with a hand-drawn underline, a stacked column of Colorado 7, Colorado 105, Glen Haven and Estes Park highway shields runs down the left margin, and a switchback road cuts through black conifers below. A Cinnamon Roll Approved rubber stamp sits at the lower right, an honest nod to the reason people take that particular road.
