Rocky Mountain Gothic: 1970s Record Label Trade Ad presents the visual identity of the Plated Jams single the way a label once bought a full page in a music trade magazine to announce a record. The design borrows from the poster and sleeve work of Southern California studios that shaped album promotion through the 1970s, combining heavy condensed display type with flat blocks of color and hand-set marginal copy. The title fills the upper half in aged cream against near black, a stereo level meter marked L and R climbs the right column, a tonearm and cartridge ride across grooved vinyl at the lower right, and marginal blocks carry the label name and its case for independent music. Burnt orange, gold, slate blue and cream hold the palette to the analog print character of the period, and a Worth the Detour seal at the lower left carries a frosted cinnamon roll.
